Melbourne is the second largest city in Australia, followed by Sydney and is known for being Australia’s premier cultural and sporting capital. Home to many of the countries top Australian Football League teams (also known as AFL), Melbourne comes alive with sport year round. AFL is played during the Winter months, the Australia Open Tennis championship is played during January and the Spring Carnival horse racing during November.
